We are all aware that the land now called the United States was once in the hands of people other than those who came to this continent from Europe starting in the late 1400s.  How those early “immigrants” treated the people native to this land is not a story that we Americans are proud of.  So it is nice when the government does something, however small, to acknowledge and recognize them.  I was hoping to get to the upper Penninsula in 2021, but things did not turn out as planned.  Now I have an additional reason to visit Isle Royale!  See you at the parks!
